Wilsons popularity grew across the UK in 2014. The actress starred as Alison Lockhart in Showtimes The Affair as a character with deep secrets that fall in love with Noah Solloway. Wilson won an award in the form of a Golden Globe in 2015 for Best Actress, Television Series Drama. The show also starred Maura Terney as well as Joshua Jackson. Wilson told British Vogue, "I loved playing the character that has each side of the story." Noah imagines Alison's confident, reckless sexy side. However, she views herself in as a completely different person, one who on the outside is dull and in the shadows and unwilling to make a statement. To add more horror films to the list of credits she has She will be a part of a British film version of The Little Stranger. This film is a supernatural thriller based on the novel by Sarah Waters. Wilson will also serve as in charge of the production.
